ADF Required

ADF REQUIRED notes can appear in the instrument approach chart planview or notes box. This additional equipment becomes required to fly what is otherwise a non-NDB approach. Why? What obligations does this place on the pilot during pre-flight planning and in flight? What if you don't have a (working) ADF receiver? What happens if you have to divert to an alternate airport with an ADF REQUIRED approach? We will look at all these questions and any others our audience raises.
